Job description

In addition to traditional IT consulting for Identity & Access Management, it is increasingly important for our customers to use Cloud services. Using a DevOps approach, we deliver custom solutions that can be deployed much faster than traditional Identity and Access Management projects.

Tasks and responsibilities

  • You deliver pre-sales activities including: developing and planning conceptual solution presentations, demonstrating conceptual/proposed solutions, providing technical/product guidance in meetings, responding to RfXs, clearly and effectively communicating solution value to business and technical audiences
  • You own and manage technical team relationships within accounts
  • You provide technical guidance to customers in customized demonstrations, drive and lead PoCs and technical workshops supported by our developer teams
  • You are able to convey confidence to customers and win them over with your consultancy background
  • You partner with our sales team to qualify prospects on delivery opportunity success

Skills and requirements

  • You have a very strong technical background and 5+ years of experience as Solution Engineer or DevOps Engineer, with strong customer-facing skills
  • Ideally, you have experience selling Identity and/or Access Management (IDM / IAM) solutions, and in-depth product expertise. Familiarity with ForgeRock or Ping products would be a plus
  • You bring a track record of success in a pre-sales environment for an enterprise software vendor or consultancy
  • You have proven experience in developing and delivering effective technical presentations, workshops, customized demonstrations, and proofs of concept (PoC)
  • You are enthusiastic about getting things done and helping to convince the customer
  • You have excellent communication and customer service skills; verbal, written and listening/understanding
  • You are a highly motivated self-starter with a passion for working in a dynamic, startup-like environment
  • You are fluent in English (a must) and ideally also fluent in German
  • You are willing to travel globally (rarely long-haul) up to 60%

MAIN JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

•Bachelor’s degree required
•7+ years professional commercial experience in Healthcare / Medical Devices / Pharma ideally in a mature European market, ideally in a large corporate environment

To support our Service & Repair department we are currently looking for a full-time customer focused and independent Field Service Engineer with strong technical capability and good communication skills. This is a great challenge for a person with a solid technical background, commercial drive and flexibility for traveling to customers within a given geographical territory.


A Day in the Life
As a Field Service Engineer you will be the face of the Service & Repair team across the entire Medtronic product ranges for your customers. You will have a territory and will be responsible for the maintenance and growth of revenue through sales of service plans, spare parts and other valued services. You will repair equipment breakdowns, perform technical tests. Providing expertise and training to hospital technical and other personnel will be part of your work too. This will be in compliance with corporate regulations and laws regarding safety and quality at work as well as technical regulations.
You will lead preventive maintenance programs and customer repairs to ensure the confidence of your customers in our products and our service. You will be the primary face to face contact for Medtronic with the hospital technical teams on preventative maintenance, service and contract management.
Your main tasks and responsibilities include:
• Service and Repairs sales target achievement for customer portfolio, identifying sales growth opportunities in own area
• Proactively engage and maintain regular contacts and relationships with sales and customers in your area and carry out with them commercial initiatives to support the business promoting company image, in agreement with the manager.
• Drive contract renewal and customer contract attachment rates
• Implement all technical service repairs and maintenance on medical devices commercialized by Medtronic directly at customer site in line with the service delivery plan defined with the manager.
• Review performance metrics for your territory and develop action plans to achieve goals.
• Ensure compliance with the operational guidelines, maintenance cost/profitability and response times to customer provided by the “Service Delivery Plan”.
• Be 100 % aligned with Quality Assurance procedures and training, complete all field service corrective actions within territory by due date.
• Be an ambassador for the EMEA service and repair team with customers and a trusted partner of our sales teams.
• Follow all of the safety standards for the facility and behave in a way that does not put yourself or others at risk.


Qualifications

Must Haves
• Secondary or Higher Education degree: Electromechanics/ Electronics/ Mechanics or other relevant technical education
• Fluent Spanish and English
• Driving license
• Minimum of 2 years relevant experience (diagnosing, repairing and maintaining electronic and electro-mechanical equipment in a field service role)
• Have a commercial astuteness to recognize and lead revenue growth opportunities while lowering the overall cost of healthcare to our customer
• Familiarity with following processes and procedures in a regulated industry
• Experience using a maintenance tracking software and operating and updating and getting reports from preventative maintenance systems
• Experience training others in a technical product and following best practice training delivery and tracking
• Updating work plans and service plans
• Confidence with using Microsoft Office and other relevant software’s
• Good communication skills, strong commitment to customer and appointments, accuracy and precision, solution-oriented, punctual


Nice to Haves
• Experience in working in the hospital setting or medical device industry
• Knowledge of both Dialysis and Mechanical Ventilation would be an asset

A day in the Life:


Reporting into the CV overlay leader, the Strategic Accounts Manager (SAM) will enable individual Cardiovascular Portfolio Operating Units to achieve their goals by applying commercial excellence with our public and private buying influences. Within this role you will manage the Cardiovascular portfolio across North half part of Spain, securing sustainable contracts for profitable revenue and share growth in the private and public sector and stablishing . You will pursue new business opportunities and execute Cardiovascular portfolio customer value proposition with C-Suite & Executive partners to drive mutual benefit. By forging long-term partnerships at the C-Suite level and with national Groups, the Strategic Sales team creates opportunities for access to Medtronic technologies, therapies & solutions.


In this role you will:
• Develop and maintain the Medtronic business relationship at the Senior/C-Suite level with the selected accounts, identifying and ensuring execution on co-developed and/or agreed upon projects and solutions, working in strong collaboration with the account and internal MDT stakeholders.
• Build an ethical and productive web of business relationships with other key stakeholders i.e. commercial/clinical decision makers (procurement, hospital managers etc.).
• Be responsible for ensuring awareness and alignment of account / customer specific revenue goals, investments, and cross-business selling opportunities across Cardiovascular operating units.
• Develop appropriate customer account plan and value proposition for each account/ customer, leveraging the broad spectrum of business solutions, products and therapies of Medtronic.
• Create and lead account teams both within Medtronic and in the customer’s organization that partner to discover and execute on the long-term strategic goals of the account/ customer.
• Maintain accurate and up to date account/ customer plans in SFDC, prepare progress reports for internal and external stakeholders and conduct quarterly business reviews internally and externally.

Must Have:

• Minimum of 5 years sales or business leadership experience in the medical devices sector
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Demonstrated skills and competencies to operate in a sales leadership role with a proven & successful sales record
• Integrity is paramount. Talking straight and seeking feedback is viewed as critical to success
• Proven business acumen with the ability to negotiate complex contract terms
• Ability to generate financial analyses to a high standard
• Effective presenter
• An expert influencer with a proven ability to negotiate
• Analytic mindset and excellent social & interpersonal skills. Able to communicates with high level stakeholders internally and externally
• Knowledge of industry trends, developments and market conditions
• High level of knowledge MS Office suite of software
• Deep knowledge of the Spanish Public health care system & Private Health Insurance industry
• Fluent in English (reading, conversation and writing)
• Location: North part of Spain ideally Castilla León or North coast area.


Nice to Have:
• Post Graduate Business qualifications - highly regarded
• Experience in Key or Strategic Account Management
• Experience in businesses related with Cardiovascular portfolio
• Strategic Account Management certification or education
• Knowledge & experience in digital selling tools such as: LinkedIn Sales Navigator

OVERALL OBJECTIVE
You will maintain and develop business with all customers in the defined sales area by providing excellent clinical/technical support and education to the customers, to ensure to meet or exceed the targets while enhancing Medtronic’s reputation in the market.


MAIN TASKS/RESPONSIBILITIES
• Support person in the territory for Renal Care Solutions Products and Technology clinical application
• Supporting National territory, depending on business needs. Preferably based in Madrid (not an essential requirement)
• Customer Technical & Clinical Support
• Coordinate device installation
• Sales Team Support: Perform Demonstrations, In-service Training, workshops, Clinical Trials, etc…, in coordination with the account representatives
• Identify and qualify sales opportunities within their sales territories
• Tenders Support: Technical specifications (description, indications, ordering references…)
• Work with country sales force for new product introduction, product training, and assisting key sales calls
• Collaborate to maintain and improve training materials for new and existing products.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIREMENTS
• Knowledge on Blood Extracorporeal Depuration
• 3 years’ experience on HD rooms or Nephrology/ICU Departments
• Must demonstrate professional business etiquette and protocol when interfacing customers, patients and medical professionals
• Strong planning, organization and work prioritization skills


PREFERENCES
• Ability to read, interpret and understand various medical journal articles
• Ability to understand and execute business goals to achieve territory performance
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
• Ability to effectively train and present information and respond to questions from groups of health care professionals (mainly Nurses) and Sales Representatives
• Strong communication (verbal and written) skills to customers, patients co-workers and members of management


KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION
• Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare –preferable Nursery- or another relevant degree
• Fluency in English (Portuguese will be valued)
JOB EXPERIENCE
• Clinical/patient experience is a plus
• >3-year experience in selling in the medical device industry including a hospital operation room environment


SKILLS/COMPETENCIES
• Ability to operate in a matrix environment and work effectively with sales force, technical service, physicians, nurses and hospital technicians.

The purpose of the role is to support, develop and execute Medtronic Diabetes value proposition for the Diabetes budget holders in the EMEA region.


To plan the communication strategy from developing insights to designing the end-to-end customers experience with different payers’ segments across the EMEA region.


A Day in the Life

The individual carries out his/her responsibilities within the framework of contribution to multi-disciplinary teams including outcomes research, clinical, medical and marketing to support market access and brand preference.

  • Establish deep expertise on the target Diabetes payers’ segments across the Region and ensures this expertise gets integrated purposefully into the market access strategy.
  • Conduct market analyses to maintain an appropriate level of understanding of health care financing, organization, systems and standards for care delivery, developing insights that can help improve market access programs with Diabetes budget holders.
  • Orchestrate and integrate elements of customer experience together with health economics requirements to develop tailored value propositions for market access purpose and brand preference.
  • Look for opportunities to continuously optimize the payer’s customer experience, establishing metrics that can help measure the engagement of the customer segment where possible.
  • Drive brand awareness and equity among the target audience across the region.
  • Work with advocacy groups/ GA team for lobbying purposes.
  • Interact directly with product managers to customize the value proposition for the different target audience (NHS, insurers, local payers, hospital budget holders….).
  • Create new engagement opportunities and channels relevant to the target audience.
  • Provide internal and external training on key market access topics in line with the communication strategy for the different segments and customers.
  • Collaborate with Patients and HCP marketing to align value offering across the different groups and customers.
  • Contribute as member of the EMEA market access community, ensuring efficient use of data/tools and knowledge across the EMEA.
  • Ensure quality in delivery and execution.Expected travel, mainly within European countries, 30% of regular working time.


Qualifications

Must Have:

  • Postgraduate degree in Economics, Marketing, Health Economics or Life Science
  • Min 5 years’ experience in payers communications in a healthcare environment at a medical device or pharmaceutical orbiotechnology or a specialist consulting company.
  • Track record of developing and delivering marketing and communication strategy for payers
  • Experience with strategic marketing value story development and customers segmentation
  • Good understanding of heath economics principles
  • Excellent oral and written communications


Nice to Have :

  • Experience in Diabetes
  • Knowledge of health care systems and different customers across EMEA
  • Other European languages would be a plus
